Installation

Set up the database, the models and the rules on your computer.

You need

• Windows with WSL (Ubuntu), macOS or Linux, and 16 GB of RAM. No GPU needed.
• Docker Desktop, Git, uv and Ollama.

Steps

git clone https://github.com/RyanHang07/RB_Errata
cd RB_Errata
make install       # Python packages, exact versions
make db-up         # Postgres + pgvector on localhost:5433
ollama pull qwen3-embedding:0.6b
make ingest        # downloads the rules, dates them, embeds them
make doctor        # every line should say pass

Pinned models

Every model is pinned by digest. If a download doesn't match, make doctor fails and says why, instead of quietly using a different model.
